Tribute from – Bernard Anaba

Tribute to my Nephew

Therefore, you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you” – John 16:22.

Sometimes we must find joy even in pain, and so we say it’s well, Andy! In your short life, you defined happiness. I will always remember in my thoughts that; you were such a warm personality. On the occasions that we met, and it was usually after a long period of not seeing ourselves, and you were much younger and we will exchange a few pleasantries and I remember what you never forget to say, “how is Baba Thomas?” and I often will smile happily knowing what that meant, family. It was often a short and cordial greeting but it meant more to me because it tells me you remember family and what more can we expect from a child?

And you showed such a huge promise as a young man, open hearted smiles, happy and joyous times, but it is so short. For your memory we are happy that you were a very happy person. Even in your short life you were the definition of joy and happiness, truly happy to be part of the family and that we will forever remember and be happy for you even as you are no more with us. It is a memory we would forever hold about you. Everyone will miss you, fare thee well, Andy!
